Burns Night Bag Pipes

Burns Night Pipers For Hire

For a Burns Supper, our pipers can pipe in the haggis and “ADDRESS THE HAGGIS”, eliminating the need for a master of ceremonies. Piping in the haggis on Burns Night is not confined to hotels and bars – we have seen an increase in private homes hiring our pipers just to add to a traditional atmosphere to the night.

The 25th of January each year marks the anniversary of Scotland’s national poet, the great Robert Burns. We celebrate his life and literary works combining Haggis, good whiskey and of course the highland bagpipes. In our full ceremonial highland pipers dress we play as guests arrive. We then pipe in the Haggis to great applause. Our pipers can give a short history of the Haggis and can also address the Haggis. This is the most important part of the ceremony. During the third verse of the poem the piper will draw his dirk and cut the Haggis from end to end. The piper will then present a whiskey to the chef and with his pipes will play the Haggis back out of the room.

Our Hogmanay clients include the Orient Express, The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hilton Hotels, The Globe Theatre London and many more from famous landmark venues. We also pipe for smaller venues such as a little gospel Church in South London!
